The Experience
Every step of your journey with Beautiful Pet Portraits...
1) Initial enquiry
Send an email or fill out the online form to make an initial enquiry. Please try and provide me with as much detail about your pet(s) and their temperament, what sort of images you are looking for (e.g posed, candid, stylised), the location you want to shoot at and what your availability is for a shoot.
2) Consultation
After reading your enquiry I'll arrange a phone or video call to discuss the details on your form, so I can be fully prepared to capture images of your pet in the very best light on the day.
At this point you can decide what package you would like to purchase and we'll agree a date and location for the shoot.
3) Payment
In order to secure my time I require full payment up front - £165 for the digital package, or £195 for the print package. Once I have received payment your booking will be confirmed. After viewing the final images you will have the opportunity to purchase additional images if you wish. Payment for this will be required before delivery.
4) The shoot
The shoot will last between 60 - 90 mins and should be relaxed and enjoyable for all involved. Initially I'll spend a short amount of time getting your pet used to me, so they are relaxed throughout the shoot. This is particularly important for cats, while dogs may need to burn off some energy before they can settled down and pose. We'll set up different scenarios to capture a variety of shots and I will take as many pictures as possible within the session time. If for any reason your pet isn't coping I'll back off and return to shooting again when they are ready.
I am happy to lead the shoot or take direction from you if you wish.
5) The edit
Often I will have taken around 300 photos on the shoot, so time is spent in the edit whittling down the best ones. I then get to work retouching them and stylising them in the way we have discussed in your initial enquiry, so your beautiful pet is presented in the best possible light.
Editing photos is the process that makes or breaks an image, so I pride myself on taking this part of the process very seriously, to ensure the images you see have the 'wow' factor on first viewing. Hopefully the examples you see around this site have already done that.
6) The selection
Once the photos are edited they will be uploaded to an online gallery for you to view. Each image will have a faint watermark, which will be removed once purchased but shouldn't spoil the impact of the images for you.
I aim to upload at least 40 images, so you have a wide and varied selection to choose from. You then choose the 15 images you want by creating a favourites list in the gallery. Once these have been confirmed they will be sent to you via email. If you have purchased the print package you'll need to let me know which 3 from the 15 you want as prints, which will be posted to you asap!
